Pandit K. B. Parsai, born October 11, 1922, belongs to a family widely known for several centuries now, to be astrologers to the Indian Royalties like Rajas, Maharajas, Nawabs, and Chieftains. The family of Parsais has been, at different times State Astrologers to the Maharaja of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur (Mewar), Ratlam and Sitamau (now in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh respectively, in India.)Pandit Parsai's late grandfather, Ramnarayaniji Parsai was a very widely known and respected astrologer of his times, while his father, Pandit Bhawanishankar Parsai, had no equal all over Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in his knowledge and practice of "Ramal-Sastra", a branch of Predictive Science and was widely recognized and respected for remarkable accuracy of his predictions.

Pandit K.B. Parsai is a double degree in MA and is a Sahitya Ratna (Scholar of Literature) In the family tradition, he started learning and practising the science of Astrology and the art of predictions at the young age of 11 years! along side with his school and college education. When he was 20, he joined the civil service initially in a princely state and later in the erstwhile political department of the British Crown in India and after India's independence with the Indian Government. He retired the Civil Service as Director in the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of India after 40 years of service.
